Municipality of Amstelveen

Where is the building file of your house in Amstelveen?

Which archive holds the file depends on the year the permit was granted. Below is where to be for each period, with the date on which I checked it.

Period by period

The counters in Amstelveen

Amstelveen has one boundary, 1 October 2010. Everything before it was handed over to the Amsterdam city archive and is online there, with scans you can download. What was permitted after that sits with the municipality, behind a Dutch DigiD login.

Up to 30 September 2010

Stadsarchief Amsterdam

A century of Amstelveen building files sits digitally at the Amsterdam city archive, searchable and scanned. Single documents and whole files download from the buttons on the detail page, free of charge.

Some buildings are closed off for security reasons. Those only open with a signed statement of consent from the owner or another interested party.

As I noted it in Dutch, with the links and the exact terms you will need on their website:

I can look this file up and download it for you.

From 1 October 2010

gemeente Amstelveen

From 1 October 2010 the municipality handles it, and its online counter requires a Dutch DigiD login, which I cannot do on your behalf. They aim to send the documents within ten working days.

As I noted it in Dutch, with the links and the exact terms you will need on their website:

Loket Bouwen en Vergunningen, online aan te vragen met DigiD. De gemeente streeft ernaar de stukken binnen tien werkdagen te mailen. Tel. 020 540 49 11. https://loket.amstelveen.nl/aanvraag?schema=registratie_b1100_loketbouwenvergunningen

This counter only supplies the owner in person, after logging in with a Dutch DigiD. I cannot do that for you.

Worth knowing

As I noted it in Dutch, with the links and the exact terms you will need on their website:

I checked these details on 17 September 2026. Counters and period boundaries change; if something no longer holds, please tell me.

In Dutch

The same page in Dutch, where you can also look up your own address: bouwtekeningen opvragen in Amstelveen.

Rather not do this yourself

I put together the file for your address

For € 145 including VAT I collect the building file and everything else known about your address that can matter structurally: the cone penetration tests nearby, the soil profile, the foundation picture of the neighbourhood, the plot details and the aerial photographs year by year. With it you get a reader's guide in English that says what is there and what is missing. For € 295 I also map the load-bearing structure of the house: the walls that carry load on each floor, the roof, the foundation and what keeps it stable. Only after what the public records say, without the archive? Then there is the address report for € 95.

Have me do the structural calculation afterwards and this amount comes off it. If the archive holds nothing, you get your money back.
