Municipality of Eindhoven
Where is the building file of your house in Eindhoven?
Which archive holds the file depends on the year the permit was granted. Below is where to be for each period, with the date on which I checked it.
This covers Woensel, Strijp, Stratum, Gestel, Tongelre and Acht as well.
Period by period
The counters in Eindhoven
Eindhoven splits at 1989. Anything older sits with the regional archive and can simply be requested. Anything younger sits with the municipality, and the file of an Eindhoven house built before 1989 is the one most people are after.
Up to 1988
Regionaal Historisch Centrum Eindhoven
Requested with the form on the archive's own site, no login needed. The archive supplies the technical documents only: building drawings, structural drawings and calculations, and nothing else from the file. Reckon on about a fortnight for an answer. Their reading room opens on Tuesdays and Thursdays by appointment.
As I noted it in Dutch, with the links and the exact terms you will need on their website:
(RHCe), Raiffeisenstraat 18. Aanvragen met het formulier op https://www.rhc-eindhoven.nl/bouwdossiers-aanvragen, zonder inloggen. Tel.
I can request this file for you.
From 1989
gemeente Eindhoven
From 1989 the municipality supplies it, and its own counter asks for a Dutch DigiD or eHerkenning login, which I cannot do on your behalf. The municipality charges € 34 per file.
As I noted it in Dutch, with the links and the exact terms you will need on their website:
Alleen online in te zien na inloggen met DigiD of eHerkenning. Kosten € 34 per dossier, levering binnen vijf werkdagen via beveiligde mail; de factuur volgt ongeveer twee weken later. Wie geen van beide heeft, maakt een afspraak via vergunningen@eindhoven.nl.
This counter only supplies the owner in person, after logging in with a Dutch DigiD. I cannot do that for you.
Worth knowing
As I noted it in Dutch, with the links and the exact terms you will need on their website:
Het RHCe beheert de bouwdossiers van twintig gemeenten in Zuidoost-Brabant, waaronder Helmond, Veldhoven, Nuenen, Best, Geldrop-Mierlo, Deurne en Valkenswaard. De jaargrens verschilt per gemeente en staat per gemeente op de site van het archief.

I checked these details on 6 September 2026. Counters and period boundaries change; if something no longer holds, please tell me.

Rather not do this yourself
I put together the file for your address
For € 145 including VAT I collect the building file and everything else known about your address that can matter structurally: the cone penetration tests nearby, the soil profile, the foundation picture of the neighbourhood, the plot details and the aerial photographs year by year. With it you get a reader's guide in English that says what is there and what is missing. For € 295 I also map the load-bearing structure of the house: the walls that carry load on each floor, the roof, the foundation and what keeps it stable. Only after what the public records say, without the archive? Then there is the address report for € 95.
Have me do the structural calculation afterwards and this amount comes off it. If the archive holds nothing, you get your money back.
