Municipality of Hilversum

Where is the building file of your house in Hilversum?

Which archive holds the file depends on the year the permit was granted. Below is where to be for each period, with the date on which I checked it.

This covers Hilversum, regio-archief bedient ook Huizen, Muiden, Muiderberg, Naarden and Wijdemeren as well.

Period by period

The counters in Hilversum

Hilversum has digitised a large part of its building drawings. The Archief Gooi en Vechtstreek covers the years up to April 2010, the municipality the years after.

1901 to 2000

Archief Gooi en Vechtstreek

From 1901 to 2000 the Archief Gooi en Vechtstreek holds the files. Around 140,000 drawings and 40,000 permits from this period are digitised and searchable by address on its search page for building drawings. Downloading a digital drawing is free; it is for personal use, not for reproduction. The documents around the permit itself, such as the application and the decision, are only on paper and can be viewed in the reading room with the file number.

As I noted it in Dutch, with the links and the exact terms you will need on their website:

I can look this file up and download it for you.

2001 to April 2010

Archief Gooi en Vechtstreek

From 2001 to April 2010 the files are also with the Archief Gooi en Vechtstreek, but this part is not digitised. They are requested by phone or email.

I can request this file for you.

From April 2010

gemeente Hilversum

From April 2010 the municipality of Hilversum itself handles it. Building drawings and attachments of permits can be downloaded free of charge. Requests go by email to puza-bo-ondersteuning@hilversum.nl.

As I noted it in Dutch, with the links and the exact terms you will need on their website:

Worth knowing

For a municipal monument there is no separate online file. Questions about the monument status and any further documents go to the heritage adviser at monumenten@hilversum.nl.

As I noted it in Dutch, with the links and the exact terms you will need on their website:

Gemeentelijk monument: geen apart online monumentendossier gevonden. Vragen over de monumentstatus en eventuele aanvullende stukken (redengevende omschrijving e.d.) lopen via de erfgoedadviseur: monumenten@hilversum.nl, tel. 14 035.

I checked these details on 9 September 2026. Counters and period boundaries change; if something no longer holds, please tell me.

Rather not do this yourself

I put together the file for your address

For € 145 including VAT I collect the building file and everything else known about your address that can matter structurally: the cone penetration tests nearby, the soil profile, the foundation picture of the neighbourhood, the plot details and the aerial photographs year by year. With it you get a reader's guide in English that says what is there and what is missing. For € 295 I also map the load-bearing structure of the house: the walls that carry load on each floor, the roof, the foundation and what keeps it stable. Only after what the public records say, without the archive? Then there is the address report for € 95.

Have me do the structural calculation afterwards and this amount comes off it. If the archive holds nothing, you get your money back.
